PRACTICAL DRIVING TEST
Firstly, they will check your eye sight by asking you to read a number plate. You must be able to read (with glasses or contact lenses, if necessary) a car number plate made after 1 September 2001 from 20 metres.
Secondly, they will ask you to lead them to your car. They will ask you one of the Tell Me Questions before driving and then explain how the driving test works. You would now proceed with driving. One of the of the Show Me Questions will be asked during the test whilst you are driving.
During the driving test they will ask you to do independent driving which may involve following signs or a satellite navigation. You will also carry out one maneouvre and they may ask you to carry out a emergency stop. Towards the end of the route you will head back to the test center to be given your result.

To pass the driving test you must have no more than 16 minor driving faults and no serious or no dangerous faults. You will receive your full driving licence in the post within 2 weeks.
